• Winter Bike to Work day and bike delivery

Just because there’s snow on the ground doesn’t mean you have to put up your bike for the season. FC Bikes is putting on a Winter Bike to Work day with 17 breakfast stations sponsored by almost 50 local businesses. And if we expect you to get out there and ride your bike, we’re going to prove that we will too by offering Free Bike Delivery to be delivered on Bike to Work day. If you want us to bike something to you, use promo code BIKEIT at checkout. Please refer to our bike delivery zone before ordering.

Tandem foxes design by local artist, Allie Ogg, with a small center back print of the commemorative bike to work 2011 tree. To help with the temp on your morning commute, we decided to make the bike to work shirt a bike to work sweatshirt in addition to the tshirt. $4 of each sweatshirt sale and $2 of each tshirt sale will be donated to the Fort Collins Bikes program to help improve your daily commute in the future.

Fort Collins winter bike to work day

  • Bike to Work Week and Bike Accessories

Fort Collins Bike to Work Day is tomorrow and so far we’ve raised almost $200 for the Fort Collins Bike Co-op! You have until the end of June to buy your bike t-shirt and benefit the Fort Collins Bike Co-op. You can buy your bike tshirts here. That also means that today is the last day to put in your order to be hand-delivered by yours truly by bike tomorrow (June 22nd). Don’t live in Fort Collins city limits? Surprise a friend with a bike-delivered gift! Just choose By Bike as your delivery method by 10pm tonight and you’ll get added to our route.

We also are joining up with Big Shot Bikes and the Fort Collins Emergency Vet Clinic to host a Bike to Work Day breakfast station on the Poudre Trail at Riverside and Lemay. Come say hi, buy your bike shirt, and snag a La Luz burrito on your way to work (or another breakfast station).

With all this BikeStravaganza Frenzy going on, we’ve been inspired to create some bike pendants and necklaces. We have both bike scrabble pendants and laser-cut acrylic bike necklaces (modeled above by Houdini) rolling in on the site soon.

  • Bike to Work Tees and Bike Delivery!

Northern Colorado bike month is back and that means so are our Bike Tees and Bike Delivery programs! The bike to work tee were so successful last year that we made several different bike t-shirt design options for you this year! You can see them all in our featured bike t-shirt product page. As last year, $2 of each Bike to Work t-shirt sold will be donated to the Fort Collins Bike Co-op.

Plus, now that we are in the month of June, local Fort Collins shoppers can choose to have their order delivered “By Bike” during checkout. This offers free shipping and we will personally bike your order to your house on Bike to Work Day, June 22nd. If the demand is there, we will be keeping Bike Delivery available as an option for the rest of the summer as well.

In addition to these things, this year we are teaming up with Big Shot Bikes and Fort Collins Emergency Vet Hospital to host a breakfast station on Bike To Work Day. Our breakfast station will be located along the Poudre Trail at Riverside and S. Lemay.

Fort Collins Bike to Work Day t-shirts benefitting the Fort Collins Bike Co-op

  • Pedaling goods by bike

Commuter Tee in the window at The Wright Life, Fort Collins, COSo… Fort Collins bike to work day was last Wednesday the 23rd and I am just now getting around to talking about how amazing it was! Started the day sharing Toolbox Creative’s breakfast station with some yummy breakfast bake. Spotted our Commuter tee in the window of The Wright Life! Woot! We had a table set up with the commuter t-shirts benefitting the Fort Collins Bike Co-op and some people even stopped by wearing their commuter tees just to show their support!

Then we were off to make our bike deliveries, as promised. Started the day super-focused and fast and then around the time we realized we only had 2 bike deliveries left to make, we got a little sad that it was coming to a close. We were having so much fun seeing sides of Fort Collins that we normally wouldn’t and enjoying the sunshine. That’s why we decided to KEEP BIKE DELIVERY! Woohoo! Yep, that’s right… we are going to continue offering bike delivery to the Fort Collins area as long as weather allows. Who knows, I may even get brave and deliver by bike in the wintry months. But, for now, it will be available until further notice and can be expected to be delivered one day a week, the day depending on the weather conditions.

But, the best part about the bike deliveries is this: Instead of continuing to offer free bike shipping, we will be charging standard shipping costs for bike delivery and donating the shipping money spent to a charity that you choose. Each month I will be asking you to submit your favorite local Fort Collins charity and let the local public vote on which one we donate the money to for a month.

So, of course, you have from now until the end of June to buy a commuter t-shirt for the $2 to go to the Fort Collins Bike Co-op and then we’ll start on the next charity on the 1st! Please submit your favorite local Fort Collins charity by commenting it on this blog post.
