Adventure in Leggings in Fort Collins

Adventure in Leggings in Fort Collins
Life is an adventure. And when you’re heading outdoors, comfort and style rank high on the checklist for an exploration. Leggings are the most versatile pant for an active lifestyle. They allow for freedom, movement, and agility. The great legging debate continues daily…..”is it ok to wear leggings when you aren't at the gym?” “Are leggings pants?”  We are here to say yes!   Here are our local adventure recommendations and which leggings we would wear to go on them!

1)  Hike the Poudre Canyon:

Winter is still here, but in Colorado, we are blessed with over 300 days of warm sunshine and access to pristine hiking even as the snowflakes glisten the trails. Slip into a pair of our Colorado handmade Northern Lights Leggings and head up the canyon to Mount McConnel. McConnel offers a four mile round trip trail, or a two-mile Kreutzer Trail loop. You gain 1,300 feet if you make it to the top of the 8,000-foot hike. Hiking is proven to make you happier, so hit the local trails year round.

2)  Bike Fort Collins:

Bike Trails stay clear all year long in Fort Collins. The saying goes,"the First snowflake on the pavement, the second snowflake in the back of the snowplow." Fort Collins has 280+ miles of wide bike lanes, and 30+ miles of multi-use trails. We have a bike sharing library if you didn’t bring your own. In the winter it is crucial to wear layers while cycling. Into the Woods inspired leggings are our choice for your first layer while cruising the trails. Pile on the outer layers and see what this town can offer on two wheels. Cycling improves mental well-being, so get out and ride.

3) Run a marathon:

Fort Collins has an avid running community and host half and whole marathons during the warmer months. One of the most iconic races, the Horsetooth Half Marathon, which is in its 45th year. It is both scenic and challenging. The route takes you along the Horsetooth Reservoir Shoreline, down the Poudre River Trail to the finish line at New Belgium Brewery. To best outfit your descent through the front range, get decked out in handmade Colorado Flag Leggings. Celebrate your race before you even cross the starting line. Running Boost Your Confidence, so get your tread on.

4) See the shops on Walnut Street:

Fort Collins has a rich historical nature. You can schedule a tour of the city and see it in the preserved architecture. But if you visit just one street in Downtown Fort Collins, make it Walnut Street. Disneyland’s U.S.A. main street inspiration is Historic Firehouse Books on Walnut street. Every step of the road represents the foundations of Fort Collins including wine and cheese, custom skateboards, local tacos, craft beer,  boutiques and local artist creations. Wear your super flare legging for a jaunt down this charismatic corner of Old Town Fort Collins. Buying local improves the economy. Get out and support the business owners of the community.

5) Good on a brewery tour

Fort Collins has at least 21 breweries offering 13.4 breweries per 100,000 people.

Fort Collins produces 70% of craft beer in Colorado. It is best known as the craft beer capital of the state. Order your beer tasting journal and plan out your route. Be prepared for the unexpected with granite washed leggings. These cotton/spandex blend lifestyle leggings are made in the USA and then treated with a custom wash. Each one is 100% unique, just like the beer you will be drinking. Beer is proof God loves us and wants us to be happy, so get out and taste the hops.

Leggings are for every occasion and can be styled up, dressed down, worn on an active day or just to go on a day trip to Old Town.

"Only those who risk going too far can possibly find out how far they can go.”

-T.S Eliot

So take a daring adventure. Do it in leggings with fun patterns printed on fabric made from recycled water bottles all made right here in the USA. You will feel better about the journey.
