Fort Collins Summer Send Offs

Fort Collins Summer Send Offs

Time to get those last Colorado summer kicks in before we cozy up into all things fall. Here’s some Fort Collins summer staples to make time for over the next 20 days…

#1 Take a dip in Horsetooth or the Poudre A summer is simply incomplete without making a splash. Whether you like to raft, paddle board or just lounge on the beach - it’s time to grab your swimsuit, your hooded poncho, some sunscreen and hit the water!

#2 Stop by the Farmers Market Even if you don’t buy anything, stopping by the farmers market is a summer must-do. Fresh food, makers of all kinds and lots of local love. Name a better way to start the weekend!

#3 Have a patio beer Can’t wrap up summer in the beer capital of Colorado without having one last patio beer. Head down to your favorite brewery, soak up the sun and enjoy a cold craft beer. Cheers!

#4 Get some grub from a food truck! There is nothing tastier than food from a food truck on a hot day after some summer shenanigans… or to just go as an afternoon pick me up. Hunt down your latest craving or hit up the Foco Food Truck Rally on a Tuesday night and get that yum in your tum!

#5 Lets Ride! Grab your bike and hit the road. Shred some of your favorite runs or take the opportunity to ride your bike next time you go somewhere. Two wheels, one Fort Collins shared love <3

#6 Stroll through the CSU Gardens Take a walk amongst the flowers! Maybe even bring a blanket, a good book, pack a picnic and make an afternoon of it. The CSU trial gardens never cease to add beauty to a summer afternoon.

#7 Date night at the Lyric A night out on the Lyric lawn can never be beat. Spend your Friday night peeking around their quirky and whimsical world, grab some yummy snacks and stick around for an outdoor movie curled up under the stars.

#8 Take a Hike! In a good way ;) Living on the Front Range, we are blessed with accessible trails of all kinds. Catch a sunrise on Horsetooth rock or just pick a trail to mosey down and explore with you pup.

#9 Listen to some live music outdoors! Boogie nights are the best nights. You can see live music year round but it’s not as good if you're not dancing with the stars. Literally. Grab your dancing shoes and go check out an outdoor live show while you still can!

#10 Take a trip to Old Town Summers can be packed with activities but going to Old Town, grabbing an ice cream cone and window shopping at all your favorite local shops is one of the simple pleasures of summer. Maybe skip through one of the splash pads while you’re at it! Oh, and stop by Akinz to say hey of course ;)
