I’ve tried to use Akinz to inspire others thru our partnerships, charitable outreach and sponsored athletes, but this foundation has been a dream of mine for some time.
The biggest dreams take more than inspiration, hard work and planning, they also unfortunately cost money. I hope to be able to provide that money for ordinary people trying to accomplish extraordinary things.”

I was climbing Mt. Everest when a 7.8 earthquake devastated the country of Nepal. My trip ended abruptly and although thankful to be alive, I couldn’t help but be heartbroken. Staring at Mt. Everest from basecamp I wondered if I would ever see her again. My dream lives on and I’m fortunate to have the opportunity to return to Mt. Everest next spring as I have unfinished business to attend to.
